Richard Salomon Leáñez

on Leáñez's son, Richard Salomon Leáñez, succeeded his father at Industrias Tip Top Leáñez.

Famous for its 'Caribe Ponche', its flagship, Richard expanded the variety offered to include over eighteen different product lines.

Characterized as a calm and pleasant person, he was decorated, as Knight by the Dutch Queen, for his economic and social contributions to the Curaçao community.

I
n October of 1992, the Governor of Curaçao, on behalf of the Dutch Queen, awards Richard Salomon Leáñez the decoration as Knight.


Richard Salomon Leáñez also received recognition from the Local government for his economic contribution to the Curaçao community. A street was to be named after him, but Richard chose to pass on the honor to his father: consequently the street is named after the late Don Leáñez: "Angelo J. Leáñez street".
